The · Fake · Snitch

Hi everyone -

We have two things to discuss -

- a brand new Snitch-a-thon

- and some changes to our Yahoo groups/LJ's.

We are planning a Snitch-a-thon to celebrate TSS's return. It will be held the weekend of May 26, 27th, and 28th (Fri. 8PM EST - New York - Sun. 8PM EST - New York). For those of you who haven't joined us in one of these before, we'll tell you a bit about it. This isn't one of our official contests, just a fun way to inspire people to write more slash! We will be asking you to write fics with the theme of coming home (returning to Britain, returning to Hogwarts, finding a home where your heart is, or anything else!). 1000-5000 words is what we are looking for. When we begin the Snitch-a-thon, we will have added 'Coming Home Snitch-a-thon' as a genre. We will be posting reminders as we get closer to the dates.

Okay, on to the other thing now! As we mentioned recently, we are in the process of disbanding our TSS_Betas Yahoo group. We have removed the link to the group from the sites, and from now on, all beta queries can be posted in our forum:

We are also in the process of deleting our other groups and lj's that were formed when TSS went down. All queries that were posted in the groups/lj's can now be posted in the forums:

Please take advantage of this, and if you have any suggestions that could improve the forum, please e-mail us – you can find our e-mail address at the bottom of any of the pages on TSS. We will be giving everyone one week to save their fics from our LJ 'The Fake Snitch' and then we will be deleting it. All other groups/LJ's will be deleted immediately. We know some of you like the new groups/lj's, but we have a forum that is more than adequate for your needs. We do not want to keep all of these side groups if we do not need them.

The use of our TSS Yahoo group will now return to its original purpose - administration use only. All fic updates, etc. by members can be posted in the forum. Any posts by members in the TSS Yahoo Group will be deleted!

We want to thank everyone for the donations we have received thus far. We accept any amount you can send us – we are not picky! TSS has such wonderful members!

Those of you who are following our yahoo group, or main LJ, should already know that we've taken the first steps to re-open TSS for posting updates/edits to stories already archived on one of the three sites. We won't be accepting new fictions for another week, but it should fly by! Please remember, that any fictions/updates you have uploaded here will NOT be automatically moved to the new site.

Eventually, this LJ will be deleted (not immediately, so don't panic!). If you have any questions, please either respond by commenting here, or email us at the.silver.snitch@gmail.com.
