I think this should be counted as cheating because I wrote it myself, but I'm out of my usual fandom and there aren't many places to post crossovers like this. I'm writing a Bellatrix/Drusilla (the sexy insane vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) femmeslash WIP. Here's the first chapter:
Title: Kindred Spirits part 1: Lurking in the Rain![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) Pairing: Bellatrix/Drusilla Rating: PG for this chapter, NC-17 for later chapters Warnings: None for this chapter. Blood play and bondage in later chapters.

8:07 pm - Looking for page and fic!
|

videmo
|
Hello everyone!
I've just noticed that Madame's Hooch Broomclosed no longer exists. That's awful to hear, as I really liked this page (I've translated few stories from there into Polish). Does anybody know if page just changed the adress or it's been deleted really?
And, by the way - there was a fic I wanted to translate, but link wasn't valid already. It was story about Hermione and Ginny, and it started with sentences like "There was nothing to worry about, so they were plaiting their hair". I'm sick of this pairing, but it was so well writen fanfic. I wish to find it!
Thanks for help anyway! videmo

Thanks!

Welcome boys, girls and selected transgender friends :) Since my, admittedly very short, membership I noticed a disturbingly lack of Dutch Harry Potter fanfic, which is naturally essential in this day and age. So I thought, 'Hey, since I've registered with LJ less than two hours ago, why not create a community for that purpose! Granted, it might be a tiny bit presumptious with just a hint of overconfidence, but hey, you gotta live right?
In essence, if your Dutch, or speaking Dutch, and you allways wanted to write a lusty (or not-so-lusty) HP fanfic, but you didn't neccesarily want to translate or write it in english, here you go!
I will start writing Dutch fanfics shortly, and maybe translate them (if I can find a good beta that is), and in the meantime, welcome!

10:33 am - Nominate Your Favorites!
|

Quill to Parchment is a new awards site that features categories for all genres, pairings, and lengths of stories in the HP fandom. Nominations are split into sections of categories, making it possible to nominate a story for 'Best Femmeslash' as well as 'Best Fanon Het' and 'Drabble' or 'Best WiP.' In addition, we have a Harry Potter specific section that includes 'Best Marauder-Era' and 'Best Post-War.' During Round One we are looking for 'Missing Scene' stories that occur during the first and second books. Femmeslash tends to be, in my opinion, some of the most well-written stories as well as fairly scarce when it comes to being nominated for awards. I'm hoping we can expand the readership of good femmeslash stories by raising the profile of femmeslash in the HP community!
[Fred and George] The nominations are open, the sites are all ready--all we need is YOU! [/Fred and George] Ok, that was admittedly cheesy, but I'm excited; hopefully you pictured that and it was amusing enough that I'll be off the hook. Nominations will remain open until the 4th of June, with voting starting on the 8th of June and extending until the 4th of July. If all goes well, we'll announce the winners on 07/07/07! Be sure to check out the Pending and Nominees sections to find some great stories to read while we all wait for voting to begin.
In conclusion, lilbreck and I (and our lovely panel of judges) would like to extend an invitation for you to take part in the qtp_awards and help recognize some of the best authors in the varied pairings and genres of HP fanfiction!

8:02 pm - Matching-Muff Matrimony, Pansy/Ginny, NC-17
|

imitatesfiction
|
Title: Matching-Muff Matrimony Author Name: Anonymous Rating: NC-17 Pairing: Ginny Weasley/Pansy Parkinson (implied Ron/Hermione and other canon pairings, developing some Draco/Harry) Recommendation/Summary*: Lovely, incredibly funny story about Ginny and Pansy meeting as twenty-somethings and, well, not hitting it off. Cautions for alcohol, language and character death (though it's Voldemort, so it's not all bad). URL: http://community.livejournal.com/fem_exchange/9914.html
Title: Gin & Tonks Author Name: ragdoll Rating: NC-17 Pairing: Ginny Weasley/Nymphadora Tonks (implied Ginny/Harry and Remus/Tonks) Recommendation/Summary*: Tonks and Ginny are bonding over not being wanted by their respective boyfriends. A theme that would normally put me off but it's very sexily written. Cautions for alcohol, under-age Ginny, boy bashing and a bit of spanking. I want to recommend girls_today for all of you who want access to HP femmeslash. Given that I have been unable to really develop this community as I think it ought to be, I want to encourage all members to add girls_today to your flist--it's wonderfully comprehensive, in the style of Daily Snitch and such. I will still continue to add recs to this community, and hope the community members will do so always, but Girls Today is a great resource in the meantime.

|

minerva_fan

Fic: Meeting at Night Title: Meeting At Night Author: featherxquill Rating: R Pairing: Sprout/Grubbly-Plank Warning: HBP Spoilers, kind of. A/N: Two birds with one stone: written for inell's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun challenge, and angharad04's Pomona Sprout Appreciation Festival. Dedicated to tetleybag, because she's the biggest Grubbly-Plank fan on the face of the earth. URL: http://www.livejournal.com/users/featherxquill/43615.html
RECOMMENDATION: A beautiful, lush character piece from the POV of Professor Grubbly-Plank. Quills' use of language is poetic and visual, and she captures the moment quite beautifully. Highly recommended.

I updated my own journal with quite a bit of f/f good stuff (in multiple fandoms), so I figured I'd drop the HP ones by here too. Sorry to the one person who gets this twice.
Title: Natural Development Author Name: Ursula Rating: no sex, no violence, no disturbing content Pairing: Millicent (There is no actual pairing in this one, although there are hints of unrequited Millicent/Parvati. I read it as proto-coming out.) Recommendation/Summary: Millicent is unattractive, generally, and everyone knows it. What's a girl to do? Obviously, become a "no-nonsense female politician." Of course, I totally want Madam Bones fic now. Or all-grown-up-Minister-for-Magic Millicent fic. URL: http://www.astronomytower.org/authors/ursula/ND.html
Title: Change Your Taste in Men Author Name: Dulcinea Rating: some non-graphic sex, no violence, no disturbing imagery Pairing: Millicent/Pansy Recommendation/Summary: ah, boarding-school, same-sex relationships, and years worth of watching other people change into their pajamas. More unattractive Millicent, but this time Pansy disagrees. Also, butch Millicent/femme Pansy. URL: http://pansy.nearheralways.com/fanfic/chnageyourtasteinmen.html
Title: Cockle Author Name: Natt Rating: no sex, no violence, no disturbing imagery Pairing: Millicent/Pansy Recommendation/Summary: almost but not quite footsie under the Great Hall tables, and rejection of dates arranged in parents' bank vaults, and study dates with girls who don't know you like them, or maybe they do. More boarding school fic, lovely, and no smut anywhere. URL: http://www.astronomytower.org/authors/natt/cockle.html

I am so sorry. I considder myself more a lurker than a reccer, but you are right minerva_fan there should be recced more to maintain a continuous flow of great stories.
At first I like to rec:
Title: Song Out of Tune Author Name: Morte351 (or 206) Rating:PG13 Pairing/Characters: Blaise/Hermione/Padma/ Original char. Recommendation/Summary*:This is one of the longer chaptered femmeslash fics around in the fandom and is regularly updated. It revolves around a whole lot of the girls from different houses at Hogwarts. (Hermione, Padma, Blaise, a few original chars etc) Morte is a terrific writer (and friend) and with this story she managed to convince me that a well written (girl)Blaise can be a very interesting character. Song out of tune is a deeply thought through coming of age kind of story about discovering who you really are in a magical setting. I definately reccomend this for a long and good read on a dreary Sunday evening. URL: http://www.realmoftheshadow.com/morte206.htm.
I'd also like to rec:
Title:As it should be Author Name: minerva_fan Rating:R Pairing:Helga Hufflepuff/Rowena Ravenclaw Recommendation/Summary*: minerva_fan's own 'As it should be', which she wrote for the sapphic_hp fanathon, must be one of the best fanfic entries from the Founders area I ever read. The story deals with Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw during the row between GG and SS. When reading this story it felt like this could have been the only way this part of history could have taken place. This story isn't Fandom, it should be considdered Canon, and as always it is written beautifully. URL: http://www.livejournal.com/community/sapphic_hp/21991.html
And, of course you are always free to take a look (and review ;-D) at my own archive filled with femmeslash goodness(PG13-NC17): http://www.livejournal.com/users/ll_alleycat/
Allright, I hope I did my part of the community service for now, I will try to think of you more regularly when I read something that is worth spreading the word about.

New here, but I've always liked femslash, and I hope the community is more active... I'd love to see some new recs!
Title:Familiar Rhythm
Author Name: Magdalen ( retired_ego)
Rating: R for character death
Pairing: Hermione/Luna; implied Hermione/Harry, Ron/Luna.
Recommendation/Summary:
Written hauntingly, with the past and future intermingled. A little bit of poetry with the prose, which I always like, and powerful in plot and characterization. The character of Luna in particular is written very well.
Quote:
It was quiet, that was what Hermione would remember most about this day. The air was still around her; the ground was frozen without the white sheet of snow to cover it beneath her feet; and the sky was grey and drab, and as melancholy as the hearts of anyone with one that could still beat above her.
URL: http://www.livejournal.com/community/hpfemslashfic/11235.html#cutid1
Title: You Were All I Had
Author Name: Chelsea ( drennen123)
Rating: PG
Pairing: Cho/Fleur, implied Bill/Fleur
Recommendation/Summary:
Beautifully sad, short but sweet. Again, poetry with prose. This pairing is one I haven't encountered much of, but it just seems to work here. A few speeling errors, but easy to ignore when you get lost in the beauty of it.
Quote:
You and I, Cho... picturesque. I said that I loved you, and no, I didn't lie. I did. I do, and I will. What ended it? I guess the fact that I love William did. To be honest, though... nighttime I'm vunerable. I'm vunerable to end it with him too. I whisper your name, not his. Daytime he questions it.
URL: http://www.livejournal.com/community/hp_girlslash/386810.html#cutid1
Also, I'd like to rec an icon community I noticed, called hpfemslashicons. Everybody there does really beautiful work, it's one of those places that makes me wish for a paid account! It's been kind of quiet lately, so all you icon makers, get over there!

Some of my favorites:
Title: Jadedly Author Name: Wyoming Knott Rating: explicit sex, implicit violence, no profanity, some disturbing images. Pairing: Hermione/Pansy Recommendation/Summary: Creepy, and creepy, and kind of creepy. But in a good way. Post-war, submissive/slave Pansy. Very short. URL: http://www.livejournal.com/users/wyoming_knott/21932.html
Title: That Summer Author Name: Mallory Rating: no sex, some heterosexual content, no violence, no profanity, no disturbing images. Pairing: Hannah/Susan, Hannah/Justin Recommendation/Summary: Did someone make Hannah/Susan canon and forget to tell Rowling? Because, really, this is so lovely and cute and -- because it's Hannah. Young unrequited love, except, not. Summer vacations. Pizza. URL: http://www.astronomytower.org/authors/mallory/TS.html
Title: The First One's a Lulu Author Name: Julian Lee Rating: no sex, no violence, limited profanity, limited disturbing images. Pairing: Hooch/Pomfrey Recommendation/Summary: We know so little about the Staff, and there's so much room to play, and this is lovely and cute, and has the merest hints of what we know is to come. This is very much like a few of those Hooch/McGonagall stories by minerva_fan, only it's Hooch/Pomfrey, and completely different. Sirius keeps getting hurt, Remus keeps going to the infirmary, Pomfrey keeps blaming Hooch, and Hooch is falling in love. URL: http://geocities.com/thwarted1066/harrypotter/tfoal.html
Title: Real Methods of Divination Author Name: Bitchwill Rating: no sex, no violence, no profanity, no disturbing images. Pairing: Lavender/Parvati Recommendation/Summary: This is perhaps one of my favorite stories out there. Besides, "alarmingly absent," indeed. It begins, "Most people at Hogwarts found their best friends during their first year. In fact, Hogwarts practically does it for them, sorting them into houses, dorms, and classes, so they're together all the time. Which is why most Gryffindors are best friends with Gryffindors, and most Slytherins are best friends with Slytherins, and so on. It has nothing (or, in the case of certain people, little) to do with house prejudice, and more to do with simple, unending exposure to each other. You either become best friends or you kill each other, and if you're sharing a room you'd best do one or the other very quickly," and just gets better from there. URL: http://members.fortunecity.com/bitchwill/realmethods.htm
Also, I rec pretty regularly in my own journal, mostly f/f, and a lot of HP (although the HP also includes m/m and m/m/f). Just for this rec req (recommendation request), there's a brand spanking new list of f/f HP recs, completely different to those above, here.
