Thank God! I was begining to think I go mad before I found you guys. i ralley hope I'm not to late and that this community is still active. Fanart! Please! Does anyone know where I can find it. IT comes in bags and boxes when the topis is HG/SS, but for my beloved Lucius and 'Mione I'm totally screwed over by the internet. Please help! |

In response to a recent comment here at the community (which seemed dead, but is not), yes, we ARE planning to have a second wave of the ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) lhr_fqf. Tentatively, we are aiming for a due date of about February 1st, 2006, as many of us are very busy the next upcoming while.

Third - does anyone know when the next lhr_fqf begins?

Hey, this is my first post and I have a few fics to recommend to you all. :) I also have three challenges ready, and if anyone is interested I'll post them here, too.

[Summary:] Hermione has to go to Azkaban to study several inmates as part of her Auror training. Lucius is one of them.
[Notes:] I like this fic a lot. It's rather short, but it's finished, and doesn't include Sappy!OoC!Lucius or Dominatrix!Hermione.

[Rating:] R
[Summary:] Hermione Granger turns to an old foe in her darkest hour.
[Notes:] UtAoF has a great melancholy feel to it, and it's the only fic I've seen where Lucius isn't a total sex god. It's quite a change of perspective.

[Summary:] The war is won and over; Hermione is working as a commercial curse-breaker. What would bring an old adversary to ask her for help in breaking an ancient curse to defeat an enemy already vanquished?
[Notes:] Alas, this story is unfinished, even at 25000 words. However, it's very well-written and is actually plot driven. |

I think I've already read all the good LM/HG longer fanfics out there.
Let's see:
Invictus
Lucius's Bookshelves
The Best Revenge
Inferno
And one or two more who's titles I can't remember...but they were fairly long.
Why isn't there more long Lucius/Hermione stuff? Aaahhh...I've been reading SS/HG for about six months now and there's still new good stuff coming out all the time, but most of the HG/LM is one-shot PWP (I rarely, rarely read PWP's).
I suppose the difficulty in getting them together realistically is a big problem. There's very few ways to do it...one is Captive Hermione, the other is the both of them stranded together somewhere, another if they both have amnesia(read a WIP on an e-mail group files section but it's been a long time since it was updated). Lucius's bookshelves had the best way of them getting together willingly. I know there's others out there, I did start to read a few where Hermione went dark and sought him out, but I thought that was too OOC of Hermione so didn't read anymore of those.
Allrightie then, maybe a good challenge? Actually, I would like to read more stories similar to Inferno that focus in more detail on their interactions and mental state. I espically enjoy charachter development aspects of stories...smut and adventure are nice, but I prefer to see inside someone's head. So, any more rec's out there?
Also, it might be a good idea if writers started focusing their stories on a better known website. I would like to highly, highly reccomend http://sychophanthex.com as the best of the best in fanfic archives. It's got the best search feature, and is the best organized, and the easiest on the eyes of all sites. Their format for submiting fics is also easy to use.
Okay, just thought I'd say something and see if anyone else is here who will say something. |

Hello, I just joined this community hoping to find some good HG/LM (odly, can't stand HG/DM). Anyway, I found this group earlier today and followed the link to read Inviticus...I was glued to my computer screen for HOURS and I left a reveiew begging the author for more updates.
I don't want fluffy Lucius...I see him as very dark. I'm a diehard HG/SS shipper as well and have been writing three HG/SS wip's and just started working on a HG/LM one but it's going to be HG/SS in the end and I'm not going to start posting it until I'm done with my current wip's.
Oh, and one you should deffinitly look up, it's LM/OC but is really great and called 'Leda' which can be found at AFF.net and at 'Morsemorde' sycophanthex. I cannot reccomend the sycophanthex archives enough, I post all my HG/SS fics on Ashwinder because I love their layout and the fact that generally they are prety discerning about *quality*
Okay...so now, I'm really hoping for some good HG/LM fic reccomendations. No fluffy Lucius please...

hey there,
just wanted to point you guys toward my lucius/hermione fic over at the restricted section - my pen name is ilyachra and it's called 'fall' [it's the only thing i've written there so far]. it was written before OotP so i haven't written the continuation i planned for it, and since it's rather an eclectic pairing i've only gotten like two reviews for it :) but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. hope you like it!

I'm feeling rather modly today, so I thought I'd post the group a question. Also, since it's rather dead around here, it'd be a good way to get things going.
Would you be interested in participating if we were to have a monthly challenge here at _asphodel? A weekly version would be too much for the few members here, but a monthly one might work. We'd issue a challenge phrase, bit of dialogue, scenario, something at the start of the month and you'd have until the end of the month to write, say, between 500-1000 words.
Thoughts? Interest? We're a rather small fraction of the fandom, but perhaps we can help the Lucius/Hermione pairing spread. :) |

First an introduction:
I am not much of a fanfic writer...more of a consumer so my posts will be mostly of the critical analysis kind.
Anyway, I read ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) hydaspes's Inferno story, which was friggin' fabulous, and I wrote a review of it on my lj. I am currently cleaning out my Lj so I thought I would post it here instead for future reference for anybody who would be interested in reading it.
Here it goes.
What follows is the original post more or less:
In other news, I am currently obsessed with Lucius/Hermione fics. Still. Even now. Why?
And it's pretty shitty too, because it's not very popular, and you have to really, really, really look for one. I may be tempted to write one, but I don't have the bloody time! Anyway, I have been consoling myself by analyzing hydaspes's Inferno, which is absolutely FUCKING GENIUS what she does to the pairing. I read it the first time and read it again and again, and from what I have read so far, it's the fucking best Lucius/Hermione fic. So what follows is more or less a critique/analysis/some-hopeless-fangirling in order to encourage hydaspes to supply me some more crack:
( YAY! SPOILERS! Randy Lucius! Hermione Preggers! Crying! Drama! The Angst! Too Much Literary Criticism! *swoons* )
I have also been meaning to post some links to more Lucius/Hermione fics, but now I am due to painless_j's influence......

It's a one shot with Draco involved. Nothing sexual happens except that Lucius makes a nuisance of himself, that very bad man! Hermione gets cornered. Nasty words are exchanged. It's a prequel to the following....

Wow! It's a very close second to hydaspes's story, but Inferno has smut, and this one doesn't have any. Again: wow. Okay, on second thought, it's very much the equal of Inferno.....it's just different. It's very dark and involves Lucius kidnapping poor Hermione, lots of torture, crying, beginnings of Stockholm Syndrome, blood-letting. Reminds me a teensy tad of Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down movie.
